Christmas DVD Release Schedule. Arrrgh!

mood: happyhappy

There's a whole load of DVD's that I've been not so patiently waiting for which are being released here soon. I'm getting the new Indianna Jones movie Friday, but released in the next few weeks after this are Kung fu Panda, Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, Hellboy 2, The Forbidden Kingdom, Hancock, The Mummy 3 and The Dark Knight, not to mention a few more lesser releases that I'll probably have to put on hold until well into the new year.

God I love the Christmas movie releases.. And also hate them in ways because they always leave me broke and I never have time to watch them all. This year seems to be even worse than usual..

Anyway I would appreciate comments on those I've listed that are considered worth watching, or not as the case may be, so I can work my money around which to buy. :)

It's a perfect world

Follow the link and join this game. It's a totally free to play MMO though you can spend money to buy special items; it's similar to WoW if with a little more grinding. The theme is set in Chinese mythology, the game itself is called Perfect World.. And you'll love it, believe me!

Oh and please use the referral system as it will help me get a special mount, especially if anyone spends $20 at the shop. ^^;

I came across this site today...

Some of these plushies are seriously cute and I sure wish I had the money right now to buy some.

So anyone wishing to contribute to the Zyrena fund for the rehousing of cute plushies, please send a check or money order to... I'm joking!

I had a trip to the hospital back on Friday, just one of those regular check-ups regarding arthritis and how the current meds are helping I thought..

What a day. God, that was one of the longest interviews I've ever had, the doctor wanted to go back through all the previous history, along with a physical examination, is having me sent for a whole bunch of x-rays and also had a whole load of blood taken from me to do a bunch of tests on that.

Anyway towards the end of the interview she came out with a real wonderful idea about reducing the current meds to a minimal level if the higher dose she is putting me on affects my liver to a degree as to it becoming too dangerous (yes the current dose has apparently caused some pretty high spikes in the tests) and then having me inject myself with some of the newer medications that have recently become available.

All fine and dandy, but how the hell do I get over my fear of needles to do this?

ZoneAlarm - Problems with latest windows update

Jul. 9th, 2008 | 05:00 pm

Anyone using ZoneAlarm beware. A current windows update component, named KB951748, may block ZoneAlarm from connecting to the internet and in the process blocking all access from other programs. The only way to remedy this problem if it occurs is to remove the above update, or if like me that was too much trouble, by installing another firewall that it does not affect.

As a quick addition I've read in a reply on a friend's journal that setting ZA to 'Medium' in 'Internet Zone' security is a workaround until there's a program update.

Ya gotta love Fridays

May. 3rd, 2008 | 09:20 pm

Friday was one of those trying days that I was glad to be over with. From the moment I woke things seemed to go bad. One of the things I do after running the early morning chores is to turn on the computer; after I came back from cleaning out and feeding the birds, after turning the computer on before I did, I noticed that the image was frozen on the screen..

Strange but no big deal I thought at first. Only thing though is after this the computer wouldn't boot up at all. I thought perhaps it was the graphics card, this is one of the older AGP models so I needed to order a new one online.. A stupid mistake looking back as it turned out that it was the motherboard that had blown and it was putting the computer into a continuous restart loop. Okay this was really getting annoying now and there was nothing else for it but to try to borrow money from my parents to buy a new one..

Thankfully they did lend me enough to buy one, and a pretty good one at that. A nice dual core machine with a geforce 8800gtx PCI-E card and 2Gb ram. Wonderful, I guess, excepting for a little bit I had already put aside for a commission there's fact I'll now be broke for months into the future, and with one almighty headache as I hope I manage to get the graphics card ordered returned without me needing to spend any money doing so.

Anyway looking on the bright side, I was considering building a new computer sometime this year.

Which of the twelve werewolf tribes would you be in?

You are an Uktena. You are strange, mysterious, and secretive. You fantasize about the occult, and know a lot about it. People might consider you "gothy". You are a lot smarter than you look.

Boring day. The weather is terrible outside and I really do not wish to get started. So I thought I'd post a little quiz I did ages ago to keep me here in the warm for a few minutes longer.

Err, wonderful. it's been removed. But it was fun.. I think.
